It was a joy to celebrate another year! Yesterday could not have been any more perfect. I am thankful for my husband who always makes sure I feel the love on my day.

The day started with breakfast, flowers and handmade cards by my husband and toddlers. I don’t know about you, but I love handmade things by my kids. The rest of the morning was slow as we hung out at home. Just the way I like it.

Then made a couple stops at Newport Beach for food, dessert, coffee (for my husband) and a walk around town.

Then we drove a couple minutes down to Laguna Beach. It seemed as if the sunset was even more beautiful than ever. Even God spoiled me yesterday 😉

We finally made our way home and celebrated by eating doughnuts instead of cake.

Ok, but here’s why we did most of this and it’s the best part. Emma (my eldest) helped with the planning. My husband asked her beforehand what she thought I’d want to do on my birthday. If you know my child we did everything she likes to do haha!

Like going out to eat, going to the beach and eating doughnuts. We did just that and it was perfect!

Now as I sit and reflect on my last 32 years I can say that God has been incredibly good to me and regardless of any struggles I’ve had to face, I am exactly where I need to be.

I am evolving as the years go by that I can now wake up each day with overflowing gratitude for all I was blessed with.

I also wake up and love myself, fully and wholly, from the inside and out, flaws and all. This is me. I like her. I love her. I am her.

33, I embrace you. I can’t wait to spend the next 364 days with you. Let’s continue this journey and explore this life and sprinkle it with as much laughter as possible.
